- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Tutor? A. Dan did a great job. he was very informative but did so in a friendly and entertaining way which created a relaxed atmosphere for the class. We all came away with valuable lessons from Dan as he talked of his own experiences.
- Q. Why did you choose a course with a classroom element included rather than a 100% online course? A. My research online suggested that most education institutions look more favorably at courses that have a classroom element. I also thought that hearing experiences first hand from a TEFL teaches would be helpful.
- Q. Why did you choose The TEFL Academy over any other course provider? A. The learning support is equal to most other course providers however the possibility of voluntary teaching is highly attractive. Also, the cost of the 120 hour course was better than most other options.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course? A. The course was well taught and very well delivered in general. It consisted of different teaching methods which made the course interesting. The methods also helped in making large quantities of knowledge manageable to learn over the course of 10 hours.
- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Tutor? A. Lona was helpful, friendly and kind. This helped in making the classes interesting despite the long hours.Furthermore her teaching methods were excellent. The delivery of knowledge was varied which made the experience more interactive and kept the students attentive over many hours. She provided an inspiring teaching experience which gave me many ideas of how I could improve the teaching experience for students I will teach.
- Q. Why did you choose a course with a classroom element included rather than a 100% online course? A. I believe that face to face teaching is very effective and also provides the possibility of asking more questions about the course itself. I also wanted to meet people with similar interests, one, for social reasons and two, for the questions that they may ask.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course? A. i liked the fact that the classroom part has been put into this course as i am new to teaching and it has given me lots of ideas on how to approach the teaching environment, i feel it has helped me so much. i would strongly recommend this stays as part of the learning process.
- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Tutor? A. Emma was amazing, her approach to teaching is very fun and it makes you want to learn and it draws you in, i never found myself drifting away into a trace i was always engaged and everyone was involved in the lesson.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course? A. The classroom element had plenty of variety, which is essential to keep everyone motivated for the duration. The class size (19) was a great number as there was plenty of people to mix with in group work, but you were still able to get one-on-one time too. The information was well presented in digestible segments, which allowed us to get through the intensive course without becoming demotivated.
- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Tutor? A. Our teacher, Ann, was very supportive and encouraging. She created a great learning environment which eased nervousness, and enhanced the learning experience. She was very consistent and gave great feedback throughout.
- Q. Why did you choose a course with a classroom element included rather than a 100% online course? A. I felt that face-to-face engagement would be the best way to introduce myself to TEFL. I think the intensive course ignites the motivation to continue with the online course and lessens the chance of signing up, and not following through with it. It is also a great opportunity to speak with the people on the course, to compare notes, to share plans and to exchange contact details to stay in touch for peer support during the online course, and possible when abroad too.
