English Language Assistant intern in France with Accommodation

CapEnglish is offering Language Assistant (LA) inernships in France. As an LA you will gain invaluable classroom experience, whilst fully immersing yourself into French culture. You will work alongside the local French teachers, but in English. You'll teach around 20hrs a week to young learners, 3-11yrs old. Your immersion continues at home as you will be living with a host family. Accommodation and meals are provided and you'll also receive a monthly income. In return we ask you to help the family with their kids for a few hours per week (up to 7hrs max). This is a great 6-month opportunity for a young, teacher in training, who wants to grow in their international teaching experience as well as improve their French language skills. Some learning outcomes:

1. Develop a strong awareness of French culture and cultural perspectives
2. Aquire new, transferable skills (language acquisition, language teaching, group management, cultural assessments, personal presentation etc)
3. Improve their ability to communicate effectively, in multiple languages, using written, oral, and visual media
4. Learn to be a team player and to coordinate and cooperate with others to achieve shared goals
5. Learn to adapt and integrate into a foreign environment and adapting to social cues.

The schools: our schools are mostly private catholic schools and are situated in many of the large cities all over France. They are good reputable schools that offers a very friendly and supportive learning environment. The families: our host families are personally vetted and their homes visited to ensure you will stay in a good location and have your own private room.  They understand the importance of integration and are fully supportive and welcoming. The locations: The cities are all over France and have good access to connecting trains or bus services, so in your free time you will have plenty of opportunities to travel around and explore some breathtaking scenes or places of interest.
